MISS YOU (2020): My mother Lisa has been saving her favorite answering machine messages for a decade. I’m recording her recording others, so that neither of us will forget. Layering 16mm family movies over old home movies from strangers, this film asks the questions: What happens if we don't let go of the past? What does it mean to remember? And, is Gertrude Stein right, that when we return to places of the past, “There is no there there”?
